The Seasonal Inventory Specialist plays a vital role in managing both traditional medical and surgical supplies as well as overseeing the 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain systems. This position is responsible for precise counting, stocking, and auditing of consumable medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, surgical implants, instruments, and various hospital assets. Additionally, this role includes responsibilities for setting up and maintaining the 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain lines, which involves assembling and adjusting inventory storage racks. Please note that this is a temporary seasonal role that necessitates considerable travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately record inventory data using the HITS program, whether through Excel or paper count sheets as directed by the Team Leader or Inventory Management.
- Conduct thorough inventory counts to ensure all items are accounted for and discrepancies reported according to established policies.
- Communicate any inventory discrepancies to the Team Leader promptly.
- Maintain proficiency in utilizing technology for inventory data capture, including the HITS application.
- Regularly update the Team Leader regarding any issues with the HITS program and/or related computer equipment.
- Assemble, disassemble, and adjust inventory storage racks, carts, and shelving as required.
- Install carts to each par location as instructed.
- Organize and replenish inventory shelving as directed by supervisors and hospital staff teams.
- Interpret data related to supplies description, item numbers, par levels, and units of measurement (UOM).
- Select one (1) item for each par location and label it with a temporary identifier.
- Stage supplies on carts ensuring appropriate bin sizes and labels are utilized.
- Label bins and carts accurately.
- Follow established procedures and protocols from job orientation and training.
- Adhere to company guidelines and standards regarding customer service, equipment usage, and internet policies.
- Engage in ongoing training and staff meetings for updates related to Field Operations.
- Collaborate daily with various teams on project tasks.
- Follow Inventory Counter procedures and protocols as outlined in training.
