Join Our Team as a Security Officer
At Ojos Locos Sports Cantina, our Security Officers serve as the essential first line of defense. Your primary responsibilities will include securing our facility and verifying the identification of guests to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. You will be required to deny entry to individuals who display concerning behaviors and manage any guests who may act aggressively or disruptively, ensuring compliance with both legal standards and our internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough ID checks.
- Screen patrons for weapons and illegal substances.
- Document and report incidents accurately, detailing who, what, when, where, and how, via email at the end of your shift.
- Immediately report any use of force to the Director of Security and document accordingly.
- Regularly patrol restaurant premises to ensure safety; check restrooms, outdoor exits, and concealed areas.
- Monitor the parking lot from the entrance or surrounding area.
- Ensure guests adhere to designated smoking areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a secure environment.
- Monitor the safety of coworkers and provide assistance when necessary.
- Adhere to the key security protocols to protect Ojos Locos.
- There are three core roles within the Security team: ID checking, patron screening, and premises monitoring.
Work Schedule
Your shifts will typically be scheduled between 5 PM to 3 AM Thursday through Saturday, and 5 PM to 1 AM from Sunday to Wednesday. It is your responsibility to clock in and out for each shift; failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, up to termination.
