As a Senior Account Executive at Charlie's Produce, your main focus will be to foster and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients. You will serve as the key liaison for prospective clients, providing them with tailored guidance while diligently assessing and fulfilling their unique needs. This role involves leading specific sales teams dedicated to driving growth and achieving sales targets for the company. You will collaborate closely with sales teams and Sales Managers, participating in daily and weekly meetings to ensure that sales objectives are consistently met. Additionally, you will take on special projects that go beyond the usual responsibilities of an account manager, with tasks that will be agreed upon with sales management. These responsibilities are dynamic and will adapt to meet the evolving needs of our customers and business.
This position is integral to coordinating our produce sales activities, ensuring that customer satisfaction and profitability are prioritized. This encompasses managing assigned customer accounts as well as supporting the accounts of other sales personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and assist in special sales promotions and initiatives.
- Participate in special projects critical to the operational success of the division and the company.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends and growing conditions.
- Deliver compelling presentations of profitable programs to current and prospective clients.
- Communicate customer needs and preferences effectively to buyers, operations, and sales support teams.
- Foster strong, professional relationships with retailers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Assist with departmental resets and grand openings as needed.
- Attend all scheduled sales meetings punctually.
- Manage individual account sales and profitability.
- Ensure timely submission of orders ahead of cut-off times.
- Process credit memos and other job-related paperwork accurately and within established deadlines.
- Identify and pursue new accounts while maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Conduct sales calls and utilize phone sales techniques.
- Stay informed about new market trends and products.
- Develop pricing strategies and order guides.
- Achieve company sales and profit goals.
- Conduct daily warehouse checks to verify product quality.
