Join Dobbs Equipment as a Senior Account Manager (SAM) and play a pivotal role in driving the sales, rental, and leasing of both new and used John Deere equipment along with our extensive range of allied products. The SAM will be instrumental in forging and nurturing partnerships with existing and prospective clients, with the aim of expanding Dobbs Equipment's market share within the designated territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion the entire product line offered by Dobbs Equipment.
- Enhance customer relationships to boost loyalty and market presence.
- Engage in prospecting and cold calling to broaden the customer base.
- Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, establish credit terms, and finalize contracts.
- Deliver expert on-site demonstrations, machine inspections, and technical assistance.
- Maintain an organized database and call log for effective territory management.
- Monitor market dynamics and provide reports on lost sales opportunities.
- Regularly update the sales manager on progress towards goals and objectives.
- Optimize rental conversions to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Meet or surpass company benchmarks for units sold, revenue, and gross profit.
- Manage and regulate sales-related expenditures.
- Participate in ongoing training and sales meetings to stay updated on new products and promotions.
- Offer constructive feedback to other departments as needed.
- Provide trade-in assessments upon request.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Proven experience in Equipment Sales.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a four-year college, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is essential.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in PC usage, especially with MS Office, focusing on Excel and Outlook.
- Aptitude for following instructions in various forms (written, oral, or diagrammatic).
- Solid mathematical skills for basic calculations.
