We are currently seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Engineer to join our Disruptive Futures Division at AFLCMC/EBZ. This division aims to revolutionize the future of armament by serving as a center for concept creation and capability development, unafraid of risks, leveraging the ingenuity of diverse sectors, and propelling cutting-edge technology into the hands of warfighters to ensure peace and victory in conflict.
EBZ operates with a unique and independent position under the AF Armament Directorate, facilitating comprehensive discussions on requirements, guiding and assessing technology development, analyzing new concepts and tradespaces, executing swift demonstrations, and capturing valuable lessons learned from various sources across the DoD and industry.
This position is on-site at Eglin AFB, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and support all engineering and technical activities essential during the material solution analysis, technology, engineering, and manufacturing development, production, deployment, and operational support phases of the systems acquisition process. This includes requirements definition and analysis, architecture design, implementation, integration, verification/validation (V/V), transition, decision analysis, requirements management, risk management, interface management, and configuration management. You will be responsible for developing and preparing all engineering and technical documentation integral to these activities (e.g., Systems Engineering Plan), perform systems review and analysis with comprehensive written reporting, briefing, and development of artifacts as necessary across all technical specialty areas outlined herein; conduct technical reviews, audits, and system engineering technical reviews while planning and executing all requisite technical reviews, assessments, and interchange meetings (e.g., Critical Design Review, Manufacturing Readiness Assessment).
