In collaboration with the Senior Director of Communications, Public Affairs, and Corporate Responsibility, the Senior Advisor plays a pivotal role in the strategic development and execution of the company’s internal and external communications. This individual will serve as a trusted ally to management and will engage with a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including issue management and external outreach. The Advisor will be responsible for creating a substantial volume of internal and external communication tools (e.g., press releases, speeches, Q&A documents, communication plans, etc.).
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated communication strategies and plans that align with the company's vision, challenges, and strategic plan.
- Provide strategic counsel to directors and teams on their projects: internal and external communications, business and operational issues, public affairs, media relations, financial communication, and issue management.
- Create various strategic and tactical content (key messages, press releases, speeches, Q&A, talking points, financial results, etc.), primarily for senior management.
- Prepare spokespersons by developing briefing documents, offering advice, creating training materials, and providing support during media engagements.
- Manage media relations and respond to inquiries while identifying opportunities for Transat and its leaders to shine.
- Oversee major projects and events (Annual Meeting, staff gatherings), including planning, content production, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor media coverage and analyze the performance of communication initiatives.
- Manage the corporate LinkedIn content calendar and collaborate with internal teams (HR, marketing, government affairs, etc.) and external partners.
