As the Senior Associate Director for Scholarships, you will play a pivotal leadership role in the strategic management, allocation, and oversight of the University’s extensive scholarship portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid Technology within the Enrollment Division, you will ensure that Notre Dame remains at the forefront in attracting exceptional talent while upholding our commitment to meeting the full demonstrated financial needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Portfolio Management: Administer university-wide merit and need-based scholarships, ensuring alignment with the recruitment and retention goals set by the VP for Undergraduate Enrollment.
Donor Stewardship & Collaboration: Work closely with the University Relations/Development office to guarantee that scholarship funds are awarded in strict accordance with donor intentions. Provide insights backed by data for donor reporting.
Compliance & Policy Oversight: Act as the subject matter expert on federal, state, and institutional regulations concerning gift aid, ensuring all awarding processes withstand rigorous internal and external audits.
Systems & Data Analysis: Utilize advanced financial aid software to enhance the awarding cycle, managing over $250 million in scholarship expenditures to avoid discrepancies in awarding.
Team Leadership: Lead a dedicated team of financial aid professionals, promoting a culture of empathy, accuracy, and excellence in student service.
