Role Overview
As a Senior Automation Engineer at LawnStarter, you will take on a pivotal, hands-on role focused on assessing and enhancing the LawnStarter platform. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and indirectly to the Head of Engineering, you will collaborate with software developers and engineers, primarily based in Brazil, along with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement automated solutions across various processes and systems using cutting-edge automation technologies. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the continental U.S.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Automation Engineer will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions for diverse processes and systems using the latest industry technologies.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to comprehend process requirements and identify automation opportunities.
- Conducting feasibility studies and creating comprehensive project plans to align automation initiatives with business objectives and technical capabilities.
- Testing and troubleshooting automated systems to identify and rectify technical issues, ensuring optimal performance.
- Collaborating with software developers and engineers in Brazil to create custom automation scripts and applications, enhancing system functionality and integration while supporting off-shore teams in troubleshooting automated tests and pipelines.
- Monitoring and maintaining automated systems through regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and calibration to uphold reliability and accuracy.
- Analyzing data and generating performance reports to identify trends and recommend enhancements.
- Staying informed about emerging automation technologies and best practices, proactively suggesting and implementing process improvements.
- Training and supporting end-users in the operation and maintenance of automated systems, fostering a culture of self-sufficiency and continuous learning.
