Education and Experience
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with over 4 years dedicated to project delivery.
• At least 6 years of experience in roles such as BIM/CAD Manager or BIM Lead, with a strong focus on utilizing technology in design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate in formulating project-specific BIM strategies, requirements, and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Oversee the coordination of BIM activities, ensuring compliance with established systems and templates among design subcontractors.
• Provide comprehensive BIM production support to project teams, championing the maintenance of the Common Data Environment (CDE), model federation, clash management, and quality assurance for deliverables (3D and 2D).
• Manage project workflows in accordance with relevant Project Procedures and information requirements (EIR/AIR/PIR).
• Develop standardized processes for model-based design quantity take-offs, facilitating accurate construction quantity reporting and forecasting.
• Support design and construction coordination efforts, managing issue/action logs effectively.
• Offer operational assistance to BIM coordinators and BIM leads from third-party engineering consultants and subcontractors.
• Engage regularly with the functional BIM team for training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Innovate processes to integrate BIM/3D models with project schedules, generating 4D simulations and Quantity Take-off Templates for effective tracking and reporting of construction progress.
• Ensure that project outcomes align with industry standards (e.g., ISO19650) and information requirements.
• Document lessons learned and implement improved workflows for future projects.
Experience Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating BIM/CIM and technology solutions to engineering and construction professionals. Facilitate meetings and presentations effectively.
• Assist in the development and institutionalization of standardized BIM workflows for project stakeholders and subcontractors (including Design, Construction, and Project Management).
Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and visualization software.
• Ability to create Dynamo scripts; knowledge of programming languages is a significant advantage.
• Proven experience in developing BIM templates, standards, Levels of Development (LOD), classification systems, and master data models for large-scale projects.
