Senior Business Development Manager – Legal Sector
Join Convera’s dynamic team as a Senior Business Development Manager, focusing on the legal sector. In this crucial role, you will spearhead the expansion of our North American presence, engaging with law firms from boutique practices to global partnerships. Reporting to the Global Head of Law Firms, your mission is to identify and convert new business opportunities by fostering long-term, profitable relationships with senior stakeholders, including Partners, Finance Directors, and CFOs, focusing on their international payment workflows, FX needs, and risk management strategies.
This strategic, high-impact sales position is ideal for individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong commercial insight, and a robust track record of securing new business in the FX and payments arena. You will oversee the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to implementation, acting as a strategic sales leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business within the legal sector by identifying and converting high-value prospects.
- Leverage 3–5 years of experience in FX and payments to provide expert consultation on payment solutions, currency exposures, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with senior decision-makers, influencing stakeholders at Partner, Finance Director, and C-suite levels.
- Implement a strategic portfolio plan to exceed revenue targets and ensure sustainable, profitable growth.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, prioritizing opportunities aligned with commercial objectives and sector strategies.
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure alignment on value propositions, onboarding, and client service delivery.
- Facilitate a seamless client experience from initial engagement to handover with account management.
- Represent Convera in the legal community, articulating our value proposition and enhancing our industry presence.
- Understand client operating models, risks, and opportunities to support effective implementation and early revenue generation.
