Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled and results-oriented Senior Buyer to join our dynamic Purchasing team in a fast-paced aerospace setting. The Senior Buyer will collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Finance to ensure that materials are available in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet our production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute purchase orders for aircraft production materials as dictated by SAP MRP and the manufacturing build schedule.
- Oversee ordering activities for aircraft materials and associated goods and services, including the management of purchase orders, transfer orders, and returns.
- Ensure the accuracy and management of open purchase orders.
- Address complex challenges across multiple processes and systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to fulfill immediate needs and implement long-term solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely material delivery and mitigate risks associated with supply chain delays.
- Assist in pre-SIOP activities, including variance analysis and PPV reporting.
- Resolve invoicing discrepancies to ensure prompt supplier payments.
- Source aircraft materials as required.
- Support procurement and engineering projects as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required.
