Are you prepared to push the boundaries of engineering?We are looking for:A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification, or demonstrable equivalent experience.Extensive experience in the water sector at a Senior level.Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM) or actively pursuing chartered status.Experience in conducting engineering assessments, options appraisals, calculations, and economic evaluations.Experience in outline and/or detailed design, particularly in wastewater/water treatment schemes or flood risk management/assessment or drainage schemes.

Join our dynamic, multidisciplinary Water Engineering team in the Southeast as a Senior Civil Engineer. We are expanding our teams in our St Albans, Croydon, London Aldgate, and Basingstoke offices.

Your role will involve managing an exciting array of water programs and projects through long-term frameworks with key clients, including major UK water companies like Thames Water, Affinity Water, and Southern Water, as well as Tier 1 contractors and international projects.

Current projects include strategic water pipelines, London Power Tunnels, HS2 utilities design, WTW UV upgrades, Thames Water mains rehabilitation, and upgrades for Mogden and Southern Water STWs.

This position allows for flexible working arrangements across Southern UK locations, with opportunities to visit client sites and collaborate on multi-year frameworks. As a key member of our thriving business, you will manage rewarding multidisciplinary projects from concept to completion, crafting innovative solutions that benefit the environment and enhance community well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Partner with engineers, hydraulic modellers, environmental scientists, and technical specialists to ensure project quality. Engage with clients to refine project scope, provide pricing proposals, and update them on progress.
  • Project Delivery: Generate feasibility studies, outline designs, detailed designs, reports, and technical specifications.
  • Leadership: Mentor junior staff, offering guidance and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, offering technical support for interdisciplinary analytical studies.
