Senior Commercial Product Manager
As a Senior Commercial Product Manager at Billtrust, you will take ownership of the commercial lifecycle for one or two products or premium features, guiding them from conception to customer adoption. This role involves collaborating with both internal and external partners to define and document essential product requirements that lead to the development of top-tier order invoice-to-cash solutions. You will work closely with engineering and development teams to outline requirements, design functionalities, and champion the product development process all the way through implementation. Your mission is to achieve business objectives by ensuring successful market entry and product utilization. As an expert in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, you'll leverage your industry knowledge to drive profitable growth within your product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert for the product and serve as a bridge between the revenue-generating teams and the product team.
- Maintain an organized backlog to facilitate clear and efficient planning for each sprint.
- Assess new feature enhancement requests based on market demand, ROI, and client impact.
- Oversee all aspects of the product scorecard; monitor relevant KPIs aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure transparency in results and planning through precise and automated reporting.
- Guide clients on roadmap priorities and engage them in developing new functionalities and solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure proper education on the product's value propositions.
- Partner with development and engineering leads during the product development phase.
- Analyze monthly prospect win/loss reports with product marketing and contribute to the strategy for Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives.
- Lead the annual planning process, identifying tradeoffs, benefits, and impacts of potential projects.
- Acknowledge the financial drivers of the product portfolio, considering tradeoffs and presenting options.
- Ensure accountability for cadence and delivery of product ceremonies.
- Manage a high volume of large product initiatives within designated timelines to ensure successful outcomes.
- Mentorship and coaching of junior product managers.
- Quarterly travel for client engagement and strategy sessions.
