West Monroe is on the lookout for a Senior Consultant who possesses deep expertise in M&A and a robust enthusiasm for technology. Joining our rapidly expanding Merger & Carve-out Services (MCS) team, you will engage with Private Equity and Corporate clients across various industries, focusing on mergers, divestitures, and carve-out transactions through an IT lens. Your IT focus will encompass domain knowledge in business applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT organization.
In your role, you will guide clients through intricate M&A transactions, from initial strategic planning and due diligence to integration/separation and post-deal activities, including both buy-side and sell-side engagements. Your advanced M&A skills will be complemented by expertise in strategic planning, cost modeling, and program management to drive impactful results.
Beyond client delivery, you will play a vital role in business development, contribute to internal initiatives, and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze financial models to assess transaction impacts, including detailed IT cost analysis across the P&L.
- Oversee transaction-specific cost models, presenting executive-level insights on all cost drivers.
- Evaluate key business applications, providing insights on capabilities, modules, and pricing, while collaborating with application leaders.
- Lead technology workstreams in post-close mergers or carve-out engagements.
- Assist in scoping and pricing Transition Service Agreements (TSAs).
- Identify and document dependencies among people, processes, technology, assets, and contracts during carve-outs, while developing synergy models for mergers.
- Configure and manage program management workspaces, ensuring effective tracking of workplans, risks/issues, and decisions.
