West Monroe is on the lookout for a talented Senior Consultant who specializes in Mergers & Acquisitions and possesses a keen interest in technology to join our thriving Merger & Carveout Services (MCS) team. This position is pivotal in assisting Private Equity and Corporate clients across a variety of industries with mergers and divestiture/carve-out transactions, viewed through an IT lens. Key areas of focus include business applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT organization.
In this Senior Consultant role within our M&A practice, you will guide clients through intricate M&A transactions, covering everything from initial strategy formulation and due diligence to integration/separation and post-deal activities, which involve both buy-side and sell-side engagements, mergers, integrations, and divestitures. You will employ advanced M&A expertise alongside strategic planning, cost modeling, and program management skills to achieve impactful results.
Beyond client delivery, your role will involve contributing to business development, driving internal practice initiatives, and mentoring junior team members.
As a Senior Consultant at West Monroe, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities:
Project Delivery
- Develop and assess financial models to gauge transaction impacts, including comprehensive IT cost analysis (e.g., cost synergies, TSA replacements) across P&L statements, evaluating cost pools and vendors while generating one-time cost estimates.
- Oversee transaction one-time cost and business run-rate models, providing executive-level insights into all cost drivers.
- Examine essential business applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS) concerning business and industry requirements (e.g., capabilities, modules, pricing) and finalize application dispositioning with input from application leaders.
- Lead technology workstreams (business applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, etc.) during post-close merger or carveout engagements.
- Assist in the scoping, formulation, and pricing of Transition Service Agreements (TSAs).
- Identify and document interactions among personnel, processes, technology, assets, and contracts between NewCo and Parent (carveout) while creating synergy models (merger).
- Establish and maintain program management workspaces (Smartsheet), oversee work plans, manage risks/issues/decisions logs, and create tailored dashboards, reports, and workflows.
