Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Proven experience with Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) in construction or repairs.Demonstrable experience on dam projects, including inspection, rehabilitation, and new design and construction.Experience in engineering activities related to dams or water-retaining structures.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.Preferred Qualifications:15 or more years of experience in dam-related projects, encompassing inspection, rehabilitation, and design.Exceptional interpersonal skills, including staff supervision, negotiation, and conflict resolution.Outstanding written communication and presentation skills for both internal and external stakeholders.

AECOM is excited to announce an immediate opening for a Senior Dams Engineer (RCC) based in Panama City, Panama. This role is key to our commitment to delivering innovative engineering solutions in the field of water resources.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading the conceptualization and detailed design of water dams, retarding basins, and service basins.
- Acting as Capture Manager for proposal preparation and strategic pre-positioning.
- Conducting comprehensive inspections, investigations, and condition assessments of existing dams, including monitoring data analysis.
- Performing Alternatives Analyses, Feasibility Studies, and Detailed Designs, leveraging a robust understanding of design drawings and technical specifications.
- Staying abreast of developments in the field to recommend changes in programs and applications.
- Conducting potential failure mode analyses and risk assessments for water storage and hydropower dams, including leading risk analysis workshops as an Independent Consultant or Facilitator.
- Maintaining strong client relations and collaborating with technical review boards.
- Managing multidisciplinary project teams while engaging with AECOM’s operations and finance departments.
- Mentoring junior staff to foster their technical development and success.
- Independently resolving technical challenges and representing the organization at conferences to coordinate work effectively.
