About the Role
We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to lead the creation of advanced machine learning and AI solutions that drive customer-facing functionalities within our retail SaaS platform. This position entails end-to-end management of the ML lifecycle, encompassing problem identification, model design, deployment, and continuous optimization.
As a senior figure in the Data Science team, you will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to transform complex problems into clear data science solutions, utilizing NLP, LLMs, and traditional ML methodologies to deliver tangible business results. Your contributions will significantly influence the development of Zipline’s product and play a vital role in scaling intelligent, data-driven solutions across our platform.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy comprehensive ML models that enhance customer-facing features, employing techniques from NLP, generative AI, and traditional machine learning.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to translate business challenges into well-defined ML problems, ensuring that solutions are robust, explainable, and impactful.
Oversee the entire model lifecycle: from data exploration and feature engineering to model design, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Develop and sustain scalable pipelines and APIs for model inference and integration into production systems.
Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver ML features that are production-ready, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.
