AECOM Advisory is on the lookout for a visionary Senior Director to spearhead the expansion of our global Advisory business across key locations: Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL.
Leveraging AECOM’s extensive expertise in infrastructure design and execution, AECOM Advisory has established itself as a trusted partner to senior-level clients and executive teams, addressing their most critical enterprise and strategic challenges. Our clientele spans the entire value chain involved in infrastructure, the built environment, and community engagement, including national governments, regulatory bodies, city agencies, utilities, transit authorities, infrastructure operators, and investors.
Our global team of 400 professionals includes business and policy analysts, economists, commercial strategists, technology architects, and change management experts. We collaborate with our clients to develop strategies, enhance operational performance, and integrate digital systems that create value for stakeholders and foster community impact. Noteworthy projects include supporting the City of Los Angeles in adopting its Citywide Housing Incentive Program (CHIP) Ordinance, contributing to SCAG’s Regional Resilience Toolkit, and formulating an Integrated Human Resources Plan for LADWP’s Power System.
The Senior Director will oversee diverse service areas within our Advisory team, focusing on economics, real estate, planning, and climate services. This role encompasses comprehensive responsibility for the team’s daily success, including securing new business and ensuring project execution, while also contributing to the Advisory strategy for the US West region. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional client management, technical, and communication skills, complemented by strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize industry insights and commercial knowledge to proactively design and implement business development strategies.
Lead project delivery across multiple interconnected workstreams:
Manage client interactions regarding project progress and insights, including high-level engagements with C-suite executives and senior management.
Coordinate with regional leadership, Directors, Client Account Managers, and technical specialists to identify critical delivery decisions, considerations, and risks associated with technical scope, client satisfaction, and commercial limitations.
Design analytical workstreams and delegate tasks effectively to project teams.
Ensure timely quality assurance and control throughout project phases.
