The Senior Director of Construction Operations will lead and manage construction operations across the San Diego region, collaborating closely with the VP of Regional Operations. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all construction activities, merging strategic foresight with hands-on leadership to ensure the successful execution of projects.
In this capacity, the Senior Director will manage the risk portfolio of active projects, ensuring that high standards and effective procedures are consistently applied at the project level, alongside maintaining robust operational systems.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at working on the business rather than just in it, while possessing the skills necessary to address escalated project and operational challenges. The role requires a focus split of approximately 40% on internal operations and 60% on external client and partner engagement, including strategic recruitment and senior project leadership.

- Provide leadership for various Regional Operations groups to ensure standardized project delivery, including EH&S, Estimating, Cost Controls, Planning & Scheduling, and Procurement.
- Foster a robust safety program that meets top quartile standards according to CII metrics, while maintaining accountability for safety performance across the region's projects.
- Recruit and attract top talent within the industry to join CRB.
- Establish and uphold strong safety culture, emphasizing CRB’s commitment to a safe working environment both in the office and at job sites.
- Implement and maintain comprehensive risk management procedures to oversee the project portfolio, regularly reviewing metrics and KPIs to proactively address potential issues.
- Ensure projects are appropriately staffed through established business operations procedures.
- Collaborate with Office/Market Leaders to monitor and review business operations KPIs, providing necessary input and support.
- Analyze project execution trends to develop actionable strategies for improvement.
