Role Summary
The Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) serves as a pivotal business partner to the executive team and private equity sponsors, playing a crucial role in enhancing financial transparency, operational excellence, and value creation. This position encompasses responsibilities such as budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and providing analytical support to guide strategic and operational decisions within a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will exhibit a blend of financial expertise, strategic insight, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and enhance the FP&A function, cultivating a team that provides timely insights, foresight, and decision-making support rather than mere static reporting.
- Manage the annual budget, rolling 12-month forecast, and long-term planning processes, ensuring they are grounded in operational realities and based on key drivers.
- Design and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, compensation strategies, investments, and scenario analyses.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to translate operational plans into measurable financial outcomes.
- Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management reporting packages that include financial data and operational metrics, analyzing variances, identifying trends, and offering actionable recommendations to enhance enterprise value.
- Promote continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and reporting efficiency.
- Manage key metrics, KPIs, and performance management frameworks.
- Support capital allocation decisions, ROI analyses, and cost management initiatives.
- Establish scalable standardization and rigor in forecasting methodologies, assumptions, and reporting schedules.
- Lead, mentor, and support the development of FP&A team members with a strong commercial focus, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
