About This Role
Tides is on the lookout for a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Tides Center Operations to join our leadership team. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the Executive Director, will oversee and assess the overall effectiveness of Tides Center operations. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Advising Services, the cross-functional leadership team, and key internal stakeholders to enhance our impact by identifying, recommending, and advancing strategies that enable Tides Center to achieve its annual goals. This includes mapping process flows, deploying effective communications, and monitoring partner impact to seize continuous improvement opportunities.
In this role, you will lead a specialized team of Strategists and Associates, ensuring that our service delivery teams and partners are equipped with expert guidance on government grants, C3/C4 legal structures, and partner transitions. The ideal candidate will embrace a data-informed approach, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods to monitor the overall effectiveness of Tides Center Operations and drive strategic direction for our partners.
As the Senior Director, you will play a crucial leadership role in demonstrating and delivering value to our partners by strategically designing and implementing our capacity-building initiatives, training programs, strategic communications, and partner resources. You will facilitate change, ensure consistency in policy application, and uphold Tides practices.
Key Responsibilities
Tides Center Operational Excellence (30%)
Lead continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery in partnership with internal functional leads, including IT, Business Operations, People, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Grants, and Finance.
Collaborate with IT, Finance, People, and Legal Risk & Compliance to ensure systems, policies, and operations that interface with and support partners reflect their needs and priorities.
Represent partner services by reviewing and proposing policy changes that affect current service delivery commitments, workflows, and processes.
Work with the Senior Director of Advising Services to continually assess and refine coaching strategies and performance improvement practices for service delivery teams based on key performance indicators and insights.
Lead the development of the annual Tides Center operating plan in collaboration with the leadership team and cross-functional leads.
