The Senior Document Control Specialist will oversee the management, organization, and tracking of all engineering and project documentation for ADNOC Offshore projects. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to ADNOC’s document control procedures, project specifications, and quality standards, facilitating smooth operations for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams by guaranteeing an accurate and efficient document flow throughout the project lifecycle.
Document Control Leadership
As the primary authority for document management within the EPC package, you will ensure:
Complete compliance with ADNOC Document Control Procedures, COPs, and numbering standards.
Strict governance over transmittals, revisions, metadata, and approval workflows.
Timely and precise management of all engineering and vendor documentation.
Provision of leadership and support to EPC, PMC, OEMs, and OE team members.
Establishment & Management of Document Control System
You will lead the setup and administration of the project Document Management System (DMS):
Create folder structures aligned with ADNOC Work Breakdown and Document Code.
Configure workflows, access permissions, and revision control rules.
Maintain a Master Document Register (MDR) for OE and EPC documents.
Maintain a Vendor Document Register (VDR) for compressor/dryer/receiver OEMs.
Ensure accuracy of metadata (Document Number, Title, Revision, Discipline, Status, Originator, etc.) and ensure adherence to the established DMS structure across all departments.
ADNOC Numbering System Oversight
Enforce ADNOC numbering formats for all documents and drawings.
Validate each EPC submission prior to acceptance.
Maintain mapping sheets between EPC/OEM numbering and ADNOC codes.
Ensure consistent tag numbering linkage across documentation.
Serve as the gatekeeper for numbering compliance.
Management of Transmittals
Review, validate, and log all incoming EPC/OEM transmittals.
Issue outgoing transmittals to ADNOC/PMC according to established workflows.
Verify completeness of transmittals including cover sheets, indexes, revision notes, and distribution matrices.
Track comments, approvals, and pending submissions, ensuring every transmittal meets the required standards.
