The Transmission & Distribution sector is responsible for project management, design, and owners engineer roles for electrical power projects at varying transmission and distribution voltages across the UK and globally. Our team specializes in large-scale grid infrastructure, grid connections, and private networks.
Due to our ongoing expansion and diverse project portfolio, we are seeking a driven Senior Electrical Substation Design Engineer to join our team in Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise within a multi-disciplinary, innovative environment while contributing to a diverse range of pioneering projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Design primary plant layouts and schematics for high voltage substations.
- Develop equipment specifications for high voltage plant and associated equipment.
- Provide engineering design insights for major infrastructure projects.
- Prepare comprehensive technical specifications and documentation.
- Assume an Owners’ Engineer role on high voltage substation, cable, and overhead line projects.
- Contribute high voltage design expertise to renewable energy initiatives, such as battery storage, solar, hydro, and wind generation projects.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams and project managers, including conducting site visits and inspections to uphold design integrity.
