KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct comprehensive 6S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Safety, Sustain) assessments in both production and non-production areas.
- Proactively identify and escalate EHS concerns to relevant internal department managers or external stakeholders.
- Support EHS inspections in preparation for audits, including customer, ISO, and third-party assessments.
- Ensure adherence to site-specific EHS protocols and regulations.
- Engage in daily production and shift-start meetings to disseminate EHS information as needed.
- Attend monthly strategy meetings with site management and global EHS teams.
- Keep abreast of facility layouts, EHS equipment locations, and current EHS policies and procedures.
- Deliver EHS training as outlined in the training matrix and conduct orientation for new hires as arranged by Human Resources.
- Collaborate with internal and external training resources when necessary.
- Complete assigned training modules in the LMS (Learning Management System).
- Work with external consultants, engineering firms, and insurance partners as needed.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new EHS team members.
- Support the Procurement team in evaluating contractors and suppliers against EHS criteria.
- Coordinate with Procurement to acquire safety supplies in line with the budget.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and sustainability in collaboration with the Procurement team.
- Utilize SAP for processing purchase requisitions and managing workflows.
- Complete EHS questionnaires, surveys, and customer qualification forms.
- Participate in quarterly Risk Hunts, documenting hazards, and reporting findings to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare and distribute monthly EHS reports detailing metrics, achievements, and challenges.
- Compile annual OSHA regulatory reports for the site.
- Gather and input site environmental data for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions annually.
- Conduct annual chemical inventory surveys for storage areas.
- Manage EHS-related correspondence and maintain accurate record-keeping.
- Organize hard copy files and electronic documents on shared drives and Teams.
- Support the digital transformation and automation efforts within EHS.
- Maintain site EHS data, including action items and risk assessments, within Quentic (EHS Database).
- Review EHS equipment changes, modifications, or relocations within the facility.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of relevant EHS policies and protocols.
