About the job
Salla is rapidly gaining recognition as one of the leading e-commerce platforms in the MENA region, providing cutting-edge technology solutions that empower businesses to grow efficiently and sustainably. As we embark on our expansion journey, we are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner (FP&A) to play a crucial role within Salla’s Hub-and-Spoke FP&A model. As a Spoke, you will work closely with a designated business unit, converting financial insights into actionable commercial strategies while collaborating with Corporate FP&A (the Hub) to ensure consistency, forecasting accuracy, and a single source of truth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Embedded Strategic Partnership (Core of the Role)
- Act as the primary finance partner to assigned business units.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership—challenging assumptions constructively and influencing decisions before implementation.
- Translate strategic priorities into comprehensive financial plans, trade-offs, and execution metrics.
- Enhance financial literacy across the organization, empowering leaders to manage their P&L with confidence.
2. Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Own the unit-level forecast, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with group targets.
- Collaborate with the Hub to provide rolling forecasts, scenario analyses, and sensitivity assessments.
- Interpret variances with insightful analysis—not just figures—linking performance to operational drivers.
- Identify risks and opportunities early, facilitating proactive adjustments.
3. Value Creation & Capital Discipline
- Assess initiatives, investments, and trade-offs through ROI frameworks and defined return thresholds.
- Ensure resource allocation is intentional, backed by clear success metrics and accountability.
- Lead post-investment performance reviews, creating a feedback loop between strategy, execution, and outcomes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Curiosity-driven leader, consistently exploring why and how to deeply understand business drivers.
- Constructively challenges ideas, building trust through insights and evidence rather than authority.
- Communicates complex concepts clearly, facilitating effective decision-making.
- Thrives in ambiguity and is energized by change in dynamic environments.
- Exhibits a strong growth mindset, consistently enhancing financial models, insights, and decision frameworks.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, strategy, or related fields.
- Proven experience collaborating with senior stakeholders in high-growth, fast-paced organizations.
- Hands-on experience managing or actively participating in financial planning and analysis.
