About Us
At InStride Health, we are dedicated to providing effective specialty care for anxiety and OCD that is accessible to every child, adolescent, young adult, and family in need. Our mission focuses on enhancing accessibility to insurance-covered care, fostering engagement in treatment, and optimizing treatment results. We aspire to establish ourselves as the most trusted provider of pediatric anxiety and OCD care in the nation.

- Give Heart: We prioritize empathy, treating patients and their families with the same care we would expect for our loved ones.
- Work Smart: We leverage technology, diverse perspectives, and innovative thinking to tackle complex issues and improve the mental health system.
- Have Humility: We foster collaboration by setting aside egos, embracing diversity, and encouraging a growth mindset.
- Embrace Community: We stand together, support one another, and value every voice within our community.
About the Role
The Senior Financial Counselor is a vital individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director of Operations. This position acts as InStride Health's internal expert on patient cost-sharing, insurance benefits interpretation, and billing expectations, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency at scale.
The Senior Financial Counselor will undertake a dual responsibility:
- Offering consultative support and escalation for intricate or sensitive insurance-related inquiries and cost-sharing questions.
- Proactively developing training, tools, and processes that empower frontline teams to address most patient and caregiver inquiries with confidence and independence.
In this capacity, the Senior Financial Counselor serves as a point of escalation and expertise for complex insurance, cost-sharing, and billing inquiries while equipping patient-facing teams to manage routine questions through training, tools, and standardized guidance. This role collaborates across various departments, including Admissions, Support Services, Revenue Cycle, and Payor Relations.
