We are in search of a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our expanding Investigations and Remediation team. Opportunities are available in our offices located in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Chesterfield, Croydon, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, and Plymouth, with hybrid working options.
In your capacity as a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant, you will spearhead ground investigation, contamination assessment, and remediation projects, serving as project manager while providing technical guidance.
Currently, the AECOM Investigations and Remediation Practice in the UK & I is engaged in approximately 400 active projects. Our specialists offer comprehensive services, including desk studies, site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation strategies (development, design, implementation, and validation), monitoring, and project close-out across various sectors. Our projects span transportation (road, rail, airports, ports), industrial for specialized manufacturers, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, renewables (solar, hydrogen, wind, and pump-hydro), developers, defense, and public bodies such as Natural England and the National Trust, as well as government agencies like the Environment Agency, SEPA, DEFRA, and local authorities.
Our award-winning team serves a diverse range of end markets and clients, working with prestigious UK and international clients on projects of varying scales. Recent highlights include the Thames Tideway, HS2, Net Zero Teeside, and the A303 Stonehenge project.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing fee proposals for both external and internal clients while leading project input from desk studies and feasibility through ground investigation and interpretation to final design.
- Developing conceptual site models, interpreting soil and groundwater data, and advancing projects through to remediation.
- Managing client relationships, overseeing project management, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance.
