As the Senior Lead - Construction Manager, you will oversee the comprehensive execution of On’s most intricate and high-profile real estate development ventures across the Americas. Utilizing your extensive expertise in project and construction management, you will deliver exceptional retail, showroom, and workplace environments that reflect On's premium brand. Reporting directly to the Director of Real Estate Development for the Americas, this role is pivotal in driving operational excellence and fostering process innovation within the Real Estate Development team, ensuring that all projects are finalized on schedule and within budget.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic implementation of critical Real Estate Development projects throughout the Americas, ensuring alignment with On's premium design principles and quality commitment.
- Accelerate the construction pipeline by creating and executing standardized processes, scalable capital expenditure budget models, and technical manuals to enhance efficiency and uphold brand integrity.
- Direct and mentor both internal and external Development Managers, Consultants, and Contractors from the initial planning stage through to the successful completion and handover of projects, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
- Anticipate, address, and manage complex risks associated with multi-jurisdictional compliance, permitting, and construction contracts across key markets in the United States.
- Exercise expert financial oversight by developing, justifying, and managing extensive multi-project CapEx budgets, which includes thorough cost estimation, value engineering, and financial reporting.
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, effectively synthesizing the needs of diverse stakeholders and negotiating necessary trade-offs to achieve unified, critical business outcomes.
- Proactively pinpoint underlying issues and root causes within intricate projects, providing innovative, scalable solutions to challenges unique to the brand and its multi-regional presence.
- Lead the technical development and continuous enhancement of fixtures and store elements, with a focus on premium quality, efficient roll-out, and optimizing supply chain logistics through expert negotiation.
Your Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in construction, architecture, or real estate development, with hands-on involvement managing various retail formats, including high street, mall, and flagship stores within a high-growth premium setting.
- At least 2 years of direct leadership experience, guiding, mentoring, and developing project managers and teams.
