The Role
We are seeking a Senior Leveraged Finance / High Yield Capital Markets Lawyer to enhance our offerings in leveraged loan and high yield bond covenant research and analytics in the US. This position is based in our New York office, with the flexibility for remote work as required.
This is a unique chance for a seasoned leveraged finance lawyer to bring their expertise into a dynamic start-up environment, offering a significantly improved work-life balance compared to traditional law firms.
Your Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will be varied, including but not limited to:
Conducting thorough reviews of leveraged loan and high yield documentation to generate insightful analyses focused on the primary market.
Creating topical reports on secondary situations in collaboration with our team of senior lawyers and credit/distressed analysts.
Responding to client inquiries regarding the covenant packages of specific borrowers and issuers.
Utilizing 9fin’s proprietary technology to enhance and expand our covenant databases.
Leading seminars, teach-ins, and podcast segments as a subject matter expert.
Representing 9fin in the media and at industry conferences and events.
Your Profile
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
A Juris Doctor (JD) degree with over 6 years of experience in leveraged finance.
Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of covenant structures.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in using technology to enhance legal research and analysis.
