Initially, you will acquire a solid understanding of our finance processes and service organization, progressing to lead P&L meetings and assist the Business Controller in enhancing performance across the board.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the UK & Ireland Business Controller as part of a small, dedicated finance team. There are clear pathways for career advancement into broader controlling responsibilities as you grow in confidence and skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver financial support and guidance at the branch level across the UK and Ireland, ensuring accurate reporting and valuable insights for operational leaders.
- Lead monthly P&L discussions with branch managers, helping them understand their performance while keeping ownership over the P&L.
- Contribute to the budgeting process and assist local branches in financial forecasting and planning.
- Analyze productivity and utilization of front-line operatives, identifying trends or concerns for the operational teams.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts packs, accompanied by clear and concise commentary.
- Compile month-end reporting packs that provide independent, period-driven commentary highlighting key movements, trends, and issues for stakeholders.
- Complete essential month-end tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, data verification, and cost reallocations.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring robust financial controls and documentation.
- Maintain Power BI dashboards and support key users, ensuring reports are accurate and current.
- Support OneStream reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
