Role Overview:
As the Senior Manager, Actuarial, you will oversee pricing strategies across multiple ACA markets, serving as a vital partner to Market P&L, Insurance Product, and various analytic teams. Your role will encompass the complete regulatory submission process, risk assessment for your markets, and ensuring that pricing remains actuarially sound.
You will report directly to the Associate Director, Actuarial.
Work Location: This position is based in our New York City office, with a hybrid work schedule that includes 3 in-office days each week. Thursdays are mandatory in-office days for team meetings and events, while the remaining two days can be adjusted to fit your personal schedule. #LI-Hybrid
Compensation: The salary for this role ranges from $158,400 to $207,900 annually, along with comprehensive employee benefits, unlimited vacation policy, and performance bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives to refine pricing models and methodologies.
- Manage the complete rate development process for specific ACA markets.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to inform strategic pricing decisions.
- Analyze financial risks and opportunities across the ACA landscape, applying insights to pricing and network strategies.
- Provide actuarial insights for Oscar's ACA-compliant Individual and Small Group markets as we expand.
- Mentor and guide pricing analysts, offering constructive feedback.
- Foster and implement Oscar's actuarial best practices in automation and documentation.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with internal and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
