Business Development at Brex
Our Business Development team is pivotal in driving the growth of Brex’s Embedded Finance platform. As the Zero to One team, we are responsible for initiating, launching, and scaling partnerships that significantly increase corporate card spend. This includes exploring new verticals and markets, implementing embedded distribution models, and pursuing other strategic initiatives. We oversee strategy, sourcing, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership throughout the partnership lifecycle.
Every team member directly contributes to our financial success by collaborating closely with infrastructure and application partners such as Mastercard, Netsuite, Oracle, and Coupa, fueling non-linear revenue growth. Over the past year, our BD business has surged, achieving a remarkable 200% year-over-year increase in volume through our partners. This growth highlights the immense potential of embedded payments and emphasizes our technology's increasing appeal, solidifying platforms as the fastest-growing segment within Brex.
Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager in Business Development, you will be instrumental in generating revenue for Brex by developing a robust pipeline of partners and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for key anchor partners to drive card volume. You will leverage your experience in partnerships and channel sales along with the unique technology, partnerships, and market opportunities at Brex. Our engagement models include embedded card integrations, reseller strategies, and co-selling relationships, requiring deep collaboration with Product, Engineering, Sales, Product Marketing, and Legal teams.
This full-stack BD role encompasses overseeing the entire partnership lifecycle from sourcing and contracting to product integration and activating the first 50 customers.
