Join Siam Makro Public Company Limited as a Senior Manager for Commercial Alcohols, where you will play a crucial role in developing category strategies and sourcing plans to enhance our Food Retail - Dry Food category.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth category reviews to evaluate performance across various customer segments, stores, and product items.
- Lead and facilitate the strategic sourcing process for the Food Retail - Dry Food category.
- Perform market and industry analyses, supplier research, and category segmentation, as well as manage sourcing events, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.
- Transform consumer data and insights into actionable category assortments, merchandising strategies, advertising/promotions, and pricing approaches.
- Design and execute category initiatives while maintaining high standards for food safety programs with all vendors.
- Develop strategic supply chain plans, identifying supplier sources and assessing their purchasing capacities in light of industry changes.
Sales, Profit, and Income Management:
- Monitor budget performance on a daily basis, reviewing MTD and YTD results by store, category, and customer.
- Oversee yearly budgeting processes for sales, margin, and other income by category and customer.
- Analyze business reports to track sales by category and supplier against market performance.
- Prepare comprehensive business reports detailing sales and margin updates while fostering a cost-saving approach to purchasing.
Supplier Management:
- Engage with vendors and conduct plant visits to understand the industry landscape.
- Collaborate with local and international suppliers to develop and launch high-quality products in alignment with Siam Makro's strategic goals.
- Manage Trade Term Agreements to ensure optimal terms for Food Retail - Dry Food without compromising service quality.
- Maintain oversight of sales, purchases, margins, and budgeting by category and customer group.
- Establish robust supplier relationships and performance metrics, ensuring transparent reporting of purchasing activities.
- Create long-term partnerships with key suppliers and implement cost improvement programs.
Assortment and Pricing Management:
- Negotiate pricing aggressively and set comprehensive vendor agreements.
- Oversee the quotation process in collaboration with relevant buyers to manage supplier negotiations effectively.
