KPMG is seeking a Senior Manager/Director to join our Estates, Gifts, and Trusts group within the Washington National Tax (WNT) practice.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with KPMG professionals nationwide and with KPMG International member firms to provide expert guidance on estate and gift tax, generation-skipping transfer tax, fiduciary income tax, and international transfer and trust tax compliance and planning matters.
- Support our Private Enterprise and Family Office Practice, assisting privately held business owners and family offices with their estate and trust planning needs.
- Draft technical analyses/memoranda, private letter ruling requests, and tax opinions.
- Engage with other teams within WNT to foster collaborative solutions.
- Deliver internal training sessions and contribute to thought leadership by authoring articles.
Qualifications:
- At least eight years of recent experience in estate, gift, and trust taxation, gained from a law firm, accounting firm, the IRS/Treasury, or a financial institution.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Active CPA, EA, or JD/LLM licensure, along with any additional credentials from KPMG's approved list. Candidates must secure at least one approved designation within one year of employment. Please consult your recruiter for the complete list of credentials.
- Exceptional research and communication skills, with the capacity to articulate complex tax concepts to both tax professionals and clients with non-technical backgrounds.
