We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Composites who is passionate about product development and understands the intricacies of design, construction, and enhancement in practical applications.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this position, you will collaborate across development and production phases, transitioning composite structures from prototypes to reliable, repeatable manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will encompass tooling and process development, troubleshooting on the production floor, and enhancing product quality.
You will utilize systems such as TeamCenter or Infor LN for data and process management, and employ tools like Siemens NX for design and manufacturing integration. A significant aspect of your role will involve problem-solving—analyzing non-conformances, leading root cause investigations, and ensuring effective implementation of solutions to prevent recurrence.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses a systemic understanding of manufacturing. You should be adept at working with DFMEA, PFMEA, and other structured problem-solving methodologies. Practical experience with Lean or Six Sigma is essential, and proficiency in transforming data into actionable decisions using SPC and production metrics is required. Experience with composites is crucial, whether related to tooling, materials, repairs, or assembly into larger systems.
