Position: Senior Medical Writer
Reporting to: Scientific Director
Key Responsibilities
Effective Communication
- Grasp the communication needs within the broader therapeutic landscape and commercial environment.
- Exhibit the capability to convey messages effectively to diverse audiences utilizing various media formats, including both print and digital.
- Identify and relay significant updates in therapeutic areas and any relevant medical or regulatory advancements to team members and clients, linking these insights with potential new business opportunities where appropriate.
- Provide constructive feedback to junior team members across different accounts and projects.
- Ensure regular communications with senior team members regarding project status, while proactively identifying and escalating potential challenges or needs.
Project Management & Delivery
- Manage multiple projects and accounts concurrently, while overseeing team productivity.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of project timelines, budget constraints, and scopes of work.
- Adhere to quality control processes, ensuring all team outputs undergo appropriate internal review, setting a standard for junior team members.
- Exhibit proficiency in project management and resource allocation.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards and compliance regulations.
- Timely submit time records and expenses using designated job codes.
Scientific Expertise
- Consistently produce high-quality content independently.
- Accurately integrate strategic concepts into projects with minimal guidance.
- Lead content development with limited oversight, demonstrating proficiency in data interpretation and the ability to communicate complex project details effectively.
- Become a subject matter expert in assigned therapeutic areas, sharing insights with both internal teams and clients as needed.
- Take the lead in client review meetings, showcasing the ability to present confidently and handle inquiries regarding your work.
Business Development
- Collaborate with project teams to assist in developing project proposals and budget inputs.
- Participate in pitches as required.
Collaboration & Relationship Building
- Foster strong working relationships with colleagues and clients to drive project success.
