About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Perception Engineer to spearhead the development of cutting-edge perception algorithms and systems aimed at next-generation warehouse automation robots. This role emphasizes the creation of robust 3D perception capabilities using camera and LiDAR data for object recognition, scene reconstruction, and manipulation within unstructured environments. You will engage with the perception stack, from sensor calibration and data processing to algorithm design and real-time implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Design algorithms for 3D perception tasks, including object detection, pose estimation, and scene reconstruction utilizing various RGB-D and LiDAR data sources.
Develop and maintain perception pipelines that integrate geometric methods with data-driven techniques.
Ensure dependable and efficient real-time performance across Industrial PC platforms.
Contribute to data collection, labeling, evaluation, and model training processes with consistent turnaround times.
Collaborate with teams focused on motion planning, manipulation, and system software to ensure seamless integration into autonomous workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Vision, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in 3D perception for robotics or autonomous systems (including Master's or PhD experience).
More than two years of experience leading impactful perception initiatives.
Strong proficiency in point cloud processing and geometry-based algorithms.
