Join our dynamic team at Common Cause as a Senior Policy Manager, specializing in Anti-Corruption and Accountability. This pivotal role offers an opportunity to leverage your expertise to collaborate with teams nationwide, shaping and advocating for policies that foster a transparent and accountable government.
This full-time position reports directly to the Senior Policy Director and allows for remote work from anywhere within the contiguous United States, with a strong preference for candidates located in Washington, D.C. We are looking to have our new Senior Policy Manager onboard by April.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Development and Advocacy
· Collaborate with the Senior Policy Director to lead the development and promotion of strategic policy initiatives.
· Formulate and advance proposals designed to enhance campaign finance, ethics, transparency, and counter kleptocracy.
· Conduct thorough policy research and analysis on anti-corruption and accountability topics to guide our strategies and communications.
· Collaborate with Common Cause staff to develop and submit campaign finance and/or ethics complaints to appropriate state or federal entities.
· Build and participate in coalitions that align with our policy goals, including leading or co-leading these collaborative efforts.
· Monitor federal regulatory developments, crafting strategies for intervention on critical issues such as campaign finance reform.
· Track legislative changes at both state and federal levels that impact anti-corruption policies, identifying opportunities for engagement and collaboration.
Campaign Strategies for Transparency
· Work with the Senior Policy Director to create and execute strategic campaigns focusing on campaign finance reform, ethics, and anti-corruption issues.
· Innovate and spearhead initiatives that promote transparency and accountability in government.
