About the job
Join Bosch Global Software Technologies as a Senior Power Systems Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in the modeling and simulation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Your expertise will be crucial in conducting steady state, dynamic, transient, and frequency domain simulations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Utilize advanced modeling techniques for BESS to conduct steady state simulations, evaluating compliance with essential requirements including Short Circuit, Power Quality (PQ) capability, voltage limits, and equipment overloads.
Execute dynamic simulations (RMS) to assess voltage and frequency stability, ensuring adherence to Fast Response Time (FRT) and other critical dynamic requirements.
Perform transient simulations (EMT) to validate compliance with voltage stability and frequency stability during transient conditions.
Conduct Power Quality studies to ensure compliance with harmonic, flicker, and voltage change requirements.
Simulate and analyze grid behavior of connected BESS using power systems analysis software, focusing on full system integration, control, and model validation.
Prepare and review engineering deliverables, including complex reports and presentations, to communicate findings effectively.
Collaborate with stakeholders such as internal teams, customers, consultants, and regulatory bodies to facilitate seamless grid connections, including attending meetings and providing progress updates.
Support modeling requirements and activities for customer BESS projects on a global scale.
Proficiency in Python scripting is a plus. Candidates should thrive in high-pressure environments and demonstrate strong analytical skills.
