As a leading player in the data storage and flash technology sectors, Pure Storage is on the lookout for a skilled and driven Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to join our vibrant team.
In this position, you will be pivotal in comprehending our customers' distinct challenges and customizing Pure Storage solutions to address their specific requirements. Working closely with the sales team, you will serve as a technical authority throughout the sales process, demonstrating the value of our products and services.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the factors driving a customer’s business and the motivations behind their decision-making.
- Connect technology solutions, including those in the Pure Storage portfolio and external offerings, to tangible customer business outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to ensure a seamless and cohesive customer journey and strategy aimed at boosting revenue and generating new business.
- Impress customers and colleagues alike with your technical acumen and expertise in storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings in the DAS, NAS, and SAN product domains.
- Oversee evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
- Craft and deliver engaging technical product and architecture presentations to clients, securing the technical victory for both existing and prospective accounts.
- Gather requirements and translate customers' business needs into inventive solutions that accelerate their growth and capacity.
- Identify and promote new opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing/validation.
- Encourage collaborative roadmap and planning discussions.
- Work alongside product and technical marketing teams to generate materials (e.g., whitepapers, web presentations) that align with overall alliance strategies and objectives.
- Stay informed about competitive activities and industry trends.
