In the role of Senior Pricing Manager - Academic, you will be pivotal in steering revenue enhancement and refining pricing strategies for both the Academic and Corporate sectors. Your duties encompass the management of pricing strategies for subscription journals, transformative agreements, and eBooks. This position requires a forward-thinking strategist well-versed in value-based pricing, innovative business models, and a strong inclination towards automation and AI-driven methodologies.

Collaboration with the Global Director of Pricing will be essential to meet diverse organizational targets. This position is available for candidates based in the UK and requires attendance at our Milton Park office three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy Development
- Lead Strategic Pricing Initiatives: Independently oversee and execute a variety of strategic pricing projects, ensuring timely completion and outstanding results. This involves annual pricing updates, pricing for new offerings, defining packaging strategies, and conceptualizing innovative business models.
- Own and Ensure Implementation: Take complete responsibility for the execution of pricing strategies, ensuring smooth implementation in alignment with business goals while driving operational excellence.
- Advocate and Communicate Change: Effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, promoting collaboration and driving change through clear communication and strategic leadership.
- Define and Monitor Key Metrics: Lead the establishment and automated tracking of key pricing metrics for the Academic Division to facilitate data-driven decision-making and ongoing performance enhancement.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the Strategic Pricing Analytics Manager via a dotted line relationship to deliver crucial Academic and Corporate pricing outcomes.
- Risk Management: Identify risks connected with strategic initiatives and formulate contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Strategic Coordination: Propel alignment and execution of strategic initiatives across various teams and departments.
Workflow Automation
- Ownership of AI-Driven Pricing Models: Create and implement sophisticated AI algorithms to enhance pricing strategies within the Academic Division. Identify and adopt machine learning tools to anticipate market trends and customer behaviors.
