About the job
ABOUT ROCKET LAB
Rocket Lab is a pioneering space technology company that provides comprehensive launch services, spacecraft design and manufacturing, and payloads, among other solutions, all aimed at making space accessible. The rockets and satellites we create enable some of the most ambitious space missions globally, which include scientific exploration, Earth observation, climate change initiatives, and national security efforts.
Our Electron rocket is the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket annually, successfully deploying over 230 satellites to orbit. We are also developing Neutron, a medium-lift, reusable launch vehicle designed for launching larger constellations. Our Space Systems division designs and manufactures a wide array of satellites, payloads, and components, including spacecraft chosen for NASA missions to the Moon and Mars, as well as components utilized in the James Webb Space Telescope.
SPACE SYSTEMS
At Rocket Lab, we are not only launching rockets — we are building the future of space. Our Space Systems team is responsible for developing everything from complete spacecraft and precision payloads to the components and subsystems that enable their functionality in space, such as solar panels, flight software, star trackers, optical systems, separation systems, radios, and more.
The Space Systems team has contributed to over 1,700 missions, encompassing interplanetary exploration, in-space manufacturing, and national security projects. We have collaborated with partners like NASA, the Space Development Agency, and the U.S. Space Force, constructing spacecraft, payloads, and components for missions to the Moon and Mars. Whether it’s a single high-performance spacecraft or a constellation of satellites, our world-class Space Systems team empowers some of the most ambitious space missions.
