Your Opportunity
Our Product Analytics team is in search of a Senior Analyst to lead data governance efforts, unveil profound insights into customer and user engagement across our product portfolio, and deliver relevant, actionable intelligence to Product leadership. Our objective is to enhance the analytical capabilities of our product organization, making the most of the vast amounts of business, user, and customer data generated by New Relic.

You are a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. With a keen eye for detail and a strong business acumen, you will collaborate efficiently with partners across Marketing and Sales, Product, and Engineering to craft compelling business narratives and success metrics. You will define and test hypotheses, delivering practical insights through data visualizations. Your success will stem from your ability to maintain a holistic perspective while challenging the status quo. You will ask the tough questions to ensure that the investment of time and resources is justified.
What You’ll Do
- Establish and promote data governance best practices, ensuring that telemetry data is standardized, documented, and reliable across our product suite.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, user behaviors, and their corresponding business impact, informing product development decisions.
- Develop and maintain a balanced set of KPIs and performance metrics to assess the success of product initiatives, encompassing product adoption, revenue impact, and user/customer retention.
- Utilize various data analysis tools and methodologies to extract actionable insights from extensive datasets, covering both product usage and financial data.
- Prepare and present data-driven reports and presentations to stakeholders, illustrating how product enhancements positively impact the bottom line.
- Serve as a data steward by managing data dictionaries and ensuring a “single source of truth” for core product metrics.
- Stay updated with best practices in data analysis and data governance.
