About the job
At Tempo, we are not merely designing products; we are pioneering the future of design engineering. Our flagship platform, Agent+, equips the next generation of designers and developers to launch production-grade applications ten times faster. To fulfill the requirements of our most sophisticated clients, we are on the lookout for a Senior Product Designer who excels at the intersection of design, engineering, and influence.
This role offers a unique compensation structure that is 50% above standard product design positions, reflecting our desire for leaders—individuals who bring not only skill but also authority, voice, and visibility within the design community. As the face of design excellence at Tempo, you will help shape client success and become a recognized leader in the global UI/UX and design engineering landscape.
What You’ll Do
Lead with Influence: Take ownership of the design vision for Agent+ engagements with high-profile clients who expect superior UI/UX.
Push Boundaries: Innovate workflows that blend design and code, crafting user-centric solutions that set new industry benchmarks.
Be a Voice: Advocate for design engineering both internally and externally; candidates with a significant social media presence and thought leadership will be prioritized.
Collaborate Deeply: Work alongside founders, clients, and engineers to transform complex requirements into cohesive design systems.
Shape the Experience: Conduct research, prototype, and test iteratively to deliver elegant and intuitive outcomes.
Elevate Design Culture: Promote best practices, lead internal workshops, and mentor peers in design craft and product thinking.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Over 5 years in product design with a tangible impact at venture-backed startups.
Portfolio: Demonstrable evidence of world-class design execution on intricate software applications.
Design Engineer Mindset: Not just a designer—someone who thrives at the intersection of UI, UX, and code.
Tools Mastery: Proficient in Figma, with a readiness to adapt your skills to the Tempo environment.
Communication: Clear and assertive, capable of articulating decisions to both executives and engineers. Proficiency in English (C1 or better) is required.
Influence: Active engagement in the design community with a notable social following or public presence.
