We are seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead our design team, focusing on Media and Community Experiences, and fostering meaningful human connections on Patreon.
This position is located in New York or San Francisco and follows a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence 2 days a week.
About the Team
Our Payments team is dedicated to simplifying the payment process for creators and fans while ensuring trust through reliable, transparent, and timely transactions. The team is responsible for core experiences, including fan checkout, billing, creator payouts, tax compliance, and the foundational payments platform that guarantees performance and scalability.
As the Staff Product Designer, Payments, you will mentor a product designer working on the Payments Platform and Payments Core Experience. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Data teams to define the product roadmap and deliver exceptional, reliable payment experiences for creators and fans alike.
Key Responsibilities
Mentor a product designer working within the Payments Platform and Payments Core Experience.
Establish high standards for user experience and visual design across payment flows and tools, providing clear, actionable feedback on ongoing projects.
Plan project timelines and delegate tasks among your team effectively.
Take a hands-on approach by owning end-to-end design for critical projects, from problem identification and user flows to interaction design, prototyping, and high-fidelity visuals.
Work alongside Product and Engineering leaders to establish payments goals, success metrics, and the product roadmap.
