AECOM is on the lookout for a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary design team tackling the most complex challenges in power generation. Our extensive technical expertise, global presence, and proven track record in managing large-scale projects empower us to lead in both renewable and traditional power generation, including advanced nuclear technologies. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to pioneering programs, such as our collaboration with partners advancing innovative stellarator technology globally.
We provide the flexibility to work remotely or from various Energy offices across the United States.
As a vital team member, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from the project's design stage to the delivery of outcomes, ensuring seamless collaboration among all stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should possess a profound understanding of engineering design, interconnection, utility markets, and construction processes. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to lead cross-functional design teams and manage client-approved engineering consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage assigned projects as both project manager and program manager.
Oversee internal project financials, staffing, legal coordination, and risk management.
Conduct planning and kickoff meetings to align all project stakeholders.
Support projects throughout the complete lifecycle, including feasibility, design phases, construction, and commissioning.
Facilitate the design process and conduct design reviews at critical project milestones.
Engage closely with the technical delivery team and subcontractors to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
Deliver projects in accordance with AECOM's Quality Management System (QMS).
Provide proposal support and leadership for business development initiatives.
Identify project opportunities early and manage the go/no-go decision process.
