- Engages in analyzing financial data to pinpoint critical project issues.

- Participates in the monitoring of action items.
- Capable of using technical drawings and specifications to establish project baseline data.
- Holds in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, along with a comprehensive understanding of how the company defines and documents its financial standing.
- Generates revised cost forecasts for selected accounts.
- Conducts progress trend analysis and assesses cost impacts, potentially participating in the review and approval of contractor invoices.
- Actively engages in earned value management.
- Assesses manpower, labor hours, and labor cost requirements in relation to budget constraints, including preparing variance analyses.
- Compares actual costs against funding limitations and prepares expenditure forecasts to highlight crucial points in project financing.
- Reviews purchase orders and subcontract commitments and expenditures, maintaining a tracking database to ensure alignment of subcontractor funding with work authorization and expenditures.
- Understands how project profits are budgeted and how closely budget values are achieved.
- Demonstrates knowledge of scope control and change management, tracking changes to ensure project management is informed about detailed change order statuses.
- Creates and assists in developing cost/schedule baseline budgets.
- Familiar with basic cost/schedule integration and fundamental critical path analysis, along with other rescheduling concepts.
- Conducts or aids in performance measurement and related cost trending.
- Prepares and assists in various levels of project reporting.
- Participates in and may lead project cost review meetings.
- Aids in the development and implementation of procedures.
