Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency.Experience and/or education in project scheduling and controls within the infrastructure sector.Preferred Qualifications:15+ years of experience in a related discipline.Hands-on experience with heavy civil or construction projects, including proven expertise in developing resource-loaded schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.In-depth knowledge of project planning and scheduling methodologies, practices, and earned value analysis.Thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and financial responsibilities pertaining to projects.Proficiency in standard software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

AECOM is excited to announce an immediate opening for a Senior Project Schedule and Controls Specialist based in Panama City, Panama.

The role involves a variety of significant responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Creating and implementing comprehensive cost administration and reporting systems, which encompass estimates, budgets, schedules, manhour tracking, cost progression, and earned value analysis.
  • Evaluating project cost performance through analysis of expenditures, commitments, earned value, and forecasts.
  • Maintaining current trend and change logs while ensuring adherence to change management protocols.
  • Generating cost reports and delivering regular updates on project cost and schedule tracking to relevant teams.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering teams on matters of scope, changes, trends, forecasts, and progress.
  • Working with accounting teams to reconcile actual costs with accrual values, ensuring effective coordination between project cost systems and accounting frameworks.
  • Engaging with subcontractors to discuss their progress, schedules, and contract administration.
  • Coordinating with project personnel to develop efficient Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
  • Preparing and maintaining engineering earned value reports.
  • Providing cost and schedule contributions to monthly or bi-weekly reports, including assessments and presentations of current project status, and comparing forecasts against approved budgets while explaining any discrepancies.
  • Ensuring all project control protocols are established and adhered to.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and reducing cost data into statistics and metrics for benchmarking, scoping studies, execution planning, and estimating purposes.
