JOIN OUR TEAM
We are looking for a skilled Senior Robotics Engineer to join Anduril’s Manufacturing Automation team. This dynamic team is responsible for the design, integration, and deployment of cutting-edge automated manufacturing systems across our facilities. As a member of this team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of production automation at a national scale.
YOUR ROLE
- Design, select, and integrate industrial robots and collaborative robots (cobots) for manufacturing automation, guiding projects from initial concept to full production deployment.
- Optimize and troubleshoot robot programming, including motion planning, path planning, safety configurations, and vision-based guidance.
- Specify, select, and integrate end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), including grippers, sensors, and bespoke tooling solutions.
- Design and oversee robot cell layouts, ensuring safety enclosures, work envelopes, and necessary infrastructure are effectively implemented.
- Implement and validate safety functions (e.g., STO, SLS) in compliance with relevant safety standards.
- Develop and execute simulation models to validate robot reach, cycle times, and collision avoidance before physical deployment.
- Select and integrate robot dress packs to enhance functionality.
- Establish and uphold internal standards for robotic system design, programming, safety, and integration processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including controls engineers, mechanical designers, and production staff, to ensure seamless robotic system integration.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in robotics or automation engineering.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in robotics (e.g., Python, C++, ROS).
- Strong understanding of automation systems, robotics, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with safety standards and regulations in automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
