At Tutor Intelligence, we are pioneers in the development of general-purpose and intelligent robots, striving to achieve our vision within our lifetimes. Our mission is to blend human and artificial intelligence, enhancing the capabilities of robots beyond their individual strengths.
We empower individuals to teach robots intricate vision and manipulation skills, rapidly iterating to deploy real robots in various environments. Our robots learn by observing, mimicking, adapting, and improving based on our guidance. We see them as our students, while we assume the role of their tutors.
Our challenges encompass a wide spectrum, from traditional algorithms to unsolved enigmas in the realms of planning, computer vision, SLAM, optimization, and machine learning. For this position, we seek an expert focused on large-scale navigation, including localization, locomotion/odometry, SLAM, and multi-robot coordination.

Our team develops software that enhances our robots' efficiency, speed, and safety. Primarily working in Python and Linux, we value strong software engineering skills, reflected in our rigorous interview process. As a small yet high-performing team, we prioritize agility and a product-focused approach, seeking engineers eager to tackle significant challenges and prioritize project missions over personal technical interests.
Note: Although we are currently located in Watertown, MA, we plan to relocate to Seaport in February.
